Things we are doing this sumer.

We are going to try to stay busy doing things this summer. I am already busy doing I don't know what. But, this saturday May 31 we are having our car wash. We will start at 10 am and afterwards will be going to sandy and donald green's house for hamburgers. Summer camp is a short 3 weeks away. We will leave June 15 and come home june 19. I am wanting to have a saturday waterday sometime in July. ( slip and slide, water guns, and so on) I am going to start a nooma night. Nooma is a short move that will start a pretty deep conversation. We might try to do it on another night of the week other than sunday or wed. On August 22 or 23 we are going to six flags. Whatever day we go, we will see a christian concert that night. We will stay the night and come home the next day. If you have any ideas or comments on things we can do this summer. New Post

Well, haven't posted anything in a while. Just some things I ve been thinking. I am contemplating on deleting our my space account. My space has become filthy. We are always getting friend request from people that don't even live near hear, and also the ads are discusting, being a christian, and also it is for our youth group, I do not think it is appropriate to associate myself, and our group with all those worldly things. I will be searching for a christian, clean, version of my space.

Our Church Schedule

Come join us on Sunday mornings @ 9:30 for sunday school, 10:30 am worship, sunday night @ 6:00 youth group, and Wed. night 6:30-8:30 youth discipleship. On the last sunday of each month, the sunday night worship is led by the youth group. We will have a contemporary style service. We will have some good contemporary worship music, a drama or two, and Ben will be delivering the gospel. The next time is May 3, starting at 6:00. All youth, if you want to be a part, we will be practicing on sunday nights and some during the week. So, pick a WORSHIP song and learn it, and find a split track version, and lets show off our talents. If you want to be part of the drama's, come and we will give you a part.

this is my first post

Well, my first blogging post. I hope I can figure this out. I am the youth pastor at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Arcadia, La. I have been the pastor for about a year now. I am very proud of what God has done and is doing, not only in my life, but my wife and kids life. We have a youth group of about 10-15 on Wed. night. My heart breaks for these few. They struggle daily with attacks from satan. I just hope and pray and pray and pray, that maybe one word or action that I say or do, ( holy spirit through me) will help them achieve the ultimate goal of being more like Christ. To get them out of their apathetic state to a ON FIRE state. Please pray for me and my family as it is very tough and at times discouraging.
